SEPTEMBER 2007

Summer Wine Evening
Saturday 8th September - 8pm until late
Kick off the Huntingdon Food & Wine festival by joining us at the Countryside Centre for fine wines, a selection of cheeses and on-hand expertise, provided by WAITROSE.  Fill in our wine quiz and be in with the chance to win four badges to the races, courtesy of Huntingdon Racecourse.  Tickets cost £10 per person, including all your drinks for the evening and can be purchased in advance from either the Vistor's Centre or by contacting sarahprice22@tiscali.co.uk.  All proceeds are in aid of the park.
 

Teddy Bear's Picnic
Wednesday 12th September - 10.45am - 11.45am
Join the ranger for a walk/toddle during the week of Huntingdonshire's food and drink festival.  There will be fun activities along the way for the little ones, based on Winnie the Pooh and his fondness for Honey!  Bring a picnic to enjoy together afterwards.  Teddy bears are invited too!  Indoor picnic facilities available for wet weather.

Honey Show
Sunday 16th September - 12 noon - 4.30pm
As part of the food and drink festival, come and discover honey - the varieties, tastes and what you can do with it!  Learn why the beekeeper is so important and what other products these busy bees produce.  Plenty of activities and interest for all the family - you can even have a go at candle rolling!

Wildlife Trust Plant Sale
Sunday 16th September - 2.00pm - 4.30pm
Everything for the garden, including bird and bat boxes, unusual perennials, plants for the cottage garden, butterflies and bees.  Herbs, groundcover, trees and shrubs, wildflowers, water an indoor plants.

OCTOBER 2007

Big Draw
Thursday 25th October - 11.00am - 3.00pm
Follow a self led trail around the park armed with paper and pencils and enjoy the set activities along the way.  Have fun drawing, making collages and experimenting with different media, even if you have never drawn before!  All ages and abilities welcome, but children must be supervised.  £1.00 per person including unaccompanied adults!  Please book in advance.

NOVEMBER 2007

Christmas Shopping Fair
Sunday 18th November - 2pm to 5pm
A stress free Christmas shopping event for all the family to enjoy.We have fantastic stalls selling a wide range of great items!!  Plus the chance to win a 3 course meal for 2 courtesy of The Marriott Hotel.  Entrance is only £1 (kids free) and includes a mince pie.  For more information contact Sarah on 07967 991006.


DECEMBER 2007

Boxing Day Walk
Wednesday 26th December - 11.00am
Join the rangers for a winter ramble through the country park.  Hot refreshments available from the cafe.
