Visitors' Centre

The Park and the car park are open at all times and the centre staffed at peak times.  The toilets situated at the back are open from 9am until 5pm but may be locked overnight.  Rangers are on hand to help you with any enquiries and there are many leaflets in the cafe about the park and upcoming events.

Café

The cafe is open 10am until 4pm every day throughout the year, except Christmas Day.  We serve a variety of home cooked fayre such as soup, filled rolls, toasties, home made cakes & biscuits.

Car parking

The car park is located at the entrance to the park in 4 parking bays with only a short walk down to the Visitors’ Centre. Disabled drivers, or those with disabled passengers, can drive down to the Visitors’ Centre and park in the Countryside Centre car park or behind the Visitors' Centre.

Disabled Facilities

Disabled parking can be found at the visitors centre.  Drive past the main parking bays and down the drive to the Countryside Centre.  Please bear in mind that pedestrians also use this driveway.  If  the Countryside Centre car park is open please park in here, if not then please park carefully behind the Visitors’ Centre. Please do not block the emergency access or other gates.

A disabled toilet is located in the Visitors Centre.  A radar key is required and can be obtained from the Rangers or cafe staff upon request.

The Park has a network of hard surfaced paths which are suitable for wheelchairs, although a strong “pusher” may be necessary! We have battery powered wheelchairs for use by our visitors, which can go around the Park on the harder paths. These have simple hand controls and can be used after a short training session. Please book in advance on 01480 451568 as they are very popular.
